Michael LaRue
FEATURED ARTIST (Art On Display)
I started out as an amateur photographer in high school. After I purchased my first REAL 35 MM camera (Argus C-3 from a downtown pawn shop) I was ready to start serious photography. I subscribed to the magazines Modern and Popular Photography and consumed every month's article. I walked around everywhere with my camera snapping everything my teen eyes could see. Although I did enjoy photographing people I developed a very keen interest in buildings, old architecture, and scenic images in the parks our family lived close to (Carondelet and Wilmore).
In my Junior year of High School, the opportunity of being a staff photographer came up with our high school's newspaper, The Orange & Blue. Fast forward to my Senior year I became Photo Editor and by the time I graduated from high school I knew which direction I wanted to go. I immediately enrolled in photography and music classes in college. I absolutely loved each and every music, art and photography class that I took. As I continued my studies, I freelanced as a wedding photographer while fine tuning my growing passion of art photography. Eventually I went on to a career as an Assistant Medical Photographer at Washington University.
In the past several years as an artist, my photography has been seen and on exhibit at several local art galleries, art shows and public libraries as well as private cafes, coffee houses and restaurants. -

He released his first music in 2016 at age 30 as Daniel C. Roth but has since updated his artist name to Dan C. Roth in 2023. Dan began writing his “Soul Poetry” around 2023 as well.

Ashley Dawn
FEATURED PHOTOGRAPHER (Photo In Menu)
Hi, I’m Ashley, the owner of Ashley Dawn Photography, based in St. Charles, MO. I specialize in family portraiture including maternity, newborn, and senior photography with a focus on raw, emotive storytelling. My sessions take place across the greater St. Louis area, from intimate in-home settings to my cozy studio space in St. Charles. My love for photography began in childhood, inspired by my mother, an artist herself. But it wasn’t until I became a mother that my work truly took shape. Capturing everyday moments with my own children (sleepy hair, messy fingers, quiet cuddles) reminded me how powerful simple images can be. That is the viewpoint I bring to every session. I aim to create photographs that are more than portraits, they are time capsules. My work is about movement, emotion, and the fleeting beauty of real life. I want families to look at their images and feel something: connection, nostalgia, love.

“Art Is LIke a Tree”
Art is like a tree -
Everyone enjoys the flowers…
But the roots know a different story
Of struggle and persistence
Which grew the tree,
Which grew the branches,
Which grew the flowers
For all to enjoy
