Featured Poem by Poet Laurel Clark

“Sunrise”

Darkness lightly lifts

As color graces the sky

Morning arises

Pink ribbons of light

Whispering behind the trees

Disappearing soon

Finally, sunshine

People smile, spirits lifted

Such a simple joy
