    WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 14TH, 7:00P - 9:00P

    Jam Session

What happens when musicians can't plan, can't rehearse, and can't play it safe?

    You're about to find out.

    THE EXPERIMENT:
Musicians draw random scales from a deck of cards. Everyone jams for 5-7 minutes. New card, new scale, repeat.

No setlist. No rehearsal. No Spotify polish.

MUSICIANS: Bring your instrument. No experience required—just curiosity.
AUDIENCE: Grab a drink and watch music get made.

You won't hear this anywhere else.
    You can't stream this later.
You'll just have to be there.

    See You There!

  • Nicky V

    FEATURED ARTIST (Art On Display)

Nicky V is a local artist who grew up in St. Louis and has returned after several years out of state. She has participated in many local exhibits and has had her work shown in various galleries around the St. Louis area, from the loop, to soulard, to Angads art hotel. She has been awarded several prizes from various judges at local art shows.

Nicky’s pieces tend to have a clear narrative and often a message, rather than the usual “open to interpretation” that many artists like to rely on. Despite many accolades, Nicky does not make money doing this and would not consider it a side hustle. Nicky does not care to cater to the consumer mind, as painting fried eggs or puppies and kitties would be a large source of frustration. Art is better when a piece means something, rather than matching with the living room couch, or being a cheap $5 magnet of a sunset. Due to these principles, Nicky rarely sells her work and has largely given up on doing so.

If you are a rare individual that would like to buy one of the pieces, Nicky can be reached on Instagram through DM. Prices are based on why you want the piece, why you like it, and what it means to you. Each piece takes at least 30 hours to complete, and will last your entire life.

Featured Poem by Poet Ty Gruen

“I Am All”

I am all.

I am the atom, block of infinite possibility.

I am the hunger, twisting pain towards survival.

I am the contentment, inner peace of a quieted mind.

I am the wave, steady pulse of a changing sea.

I am the eagle, untethered spirit of the air.

I am the forest, hushed breath of the world .

I am the volcano, wrathful vengeance of the fire.

I am the rot, unforgiving breaker of all things.

I am the shadow, famished devourer of worlds.

I am the light, benevolent eradication of deception.

I am the nova, neon flare aflame in the cosmos.

I am the newborn, blinking away the dark with grasping hands towards the light.

I am all.
