Featured Poem by Poet Daniel A. Brown-Schnurr

Tis the Season

 As Christmas creeps closer

It captivates the masses.

More so with a special few

Who flip some switch

And suddenly forgo

The feast of Thanksgiving.

Leaving the turkey last on their list,

They Light up their lawn

And create an ambiance

Of mystical magic.

Never forgetting

For what They are thankful

And selflessly spreading

The sermon of saint nick,

They bring back

The whimsical wonder

Once forfeited to father time.

 Serving as saviors

With serendipitous smiles

That Epitomize endearment,

They make it their mission

To protect and preserve

The sacred spirit of the season,

The happiness of the holidays,

And who knows how much more.

These are the people

For whom we give thanks.
